Samosa
What is samosa?
A samosa or singara is a fried or baked pastry with a savoury filling, including ingredients such as spiced potatoes, onions, and peas. It may take different forms, including triangular, conical, or half-moon shapes, depending on the region.
Ingredients
250g flour, refined
500g mashed potatoes
2 green chillies
1 onion
1 inch fresh ginger
1 tablespoon red chilli powder
Salt as per your taste.
1 dried red pepper
100gm paneer
1 tablespoon carom
1 tablespoon cumin
1 tablespoon coriander seeds
2 cloves
4-5 black peppercorns.
One bay leaf
1 cardamom
Water
Oil
½ tbsp baking soda
Recipe
- Now, combine buffed and purified flour, 4 tbsp oil, caraway, baking soda, and salt to taste.
- Roast some carom, cumin, coriander seeds, dried red chilli, bay leaf, cloves, black pepper, cardamom.
- Beat our roasted spices for a while.
- Pour 1 tbsp oil, onion, green chili, potato, and our spice into a pan and mix well before putting it aside to rest.
- Now, take our dough and fill it with the above-mentioned filling, and shape it as shown in the picture.
- Now just fry and eat it.
